I was going to make biscuits this morning, but realized I was out of butter. So since I have some SACO powdered buttermilk on hand, I decided to look up a buttermilk pancake recipe and make those instead. I followed your recipe exactly, except I don't have any blueberries on hand, so I made up a small batch of strawberry jam to eat with them. These pancakes were fluffy and delicious!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! I didn't even know we could buy powdered buttermilk. Your pancakes look so yummy, powdered buttermilk is now at the top of my shopping list! Thank you so much for the recipe idea and lovely pictures!

What a great idea...powdered buttermilk! I shy away from recipes that call for buttermilk for the same reason as you--I can't use it up before it goes bad. I'll have to keep an eye out for this in my local grocery store, although I don't have high hopes that I'll find it in my small town in Kentucky.

Oh surely you can find a way to use extra buttermilk...biscuits, cakes, cookies, cupcakes! More pancakes. :) They sound oh so good. You know, sometimes we cheat if we don't want to buy an entire carton of buttermilk. The old milk + vinegar trick does work!
